Phonon is growing and often has opportunities for:

ASSEMBLER: for chip and wirebond component assembly, and for hand soldered surface mount PCB module assembly. Requires 3 years hybrid circuit assembly and PCB soldering experience, and MIL or IPC solder certification.

ELECTRONIC TEST TECHNICIAN:  to adjust and test SAW components and SAW modules using a computer controlled RF vector network analyzer test set to 2000 MHz. Requires 3 years RF test experience.  SAW, hybrid and MIL soldering experience desirable.

ENGINEER (entry level): to learn the design, development, manufacturing and test of SAW devices. Requires BSEE with microelectronics-EM-optics concentration and top GPA.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER (entry level): for mechanical, vibration, and thermal design and FEM analysis of electronic assemblies. Requires BSME with strong analytical ability and top GPA.

SAW Oscillator Engineer (senior): to design and develop extremely low phase noise MIL & space SAW Oscillators from .3 to 2 GHz. Requires BSEE and 5 years oscillator experience, with advanced degree and SAW experience preferred.

RF ENGINEER (senior): to design and develop high performance RF circuits for MIL & space SAW modules from .1 to 2 GHz. Requires BSEE and 5 years RF experience, with advanced degree and SAW experience preferred.

QA Engineer:  to support Phonon’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System.  Requires experience auditing manufacturing processes, and excellent written and oral English communication skills.  Successful candidate will obtain ASQ Certification (CQA/CQE).
